The House

Il Giardino di Rebecca opened in 1998. Its foundations were laid right where the wheat grew, and it was built almost entirely with recycled materials, in line with the tradition of the territory and the local architecture.

Il Giardino di Rebecca leaves a unique taste that only a place with a history behind can give. Each detail contains a flame of life. Thick walls, exposed beam ceilings, tile flooring, ancient doors of convents and old trains, grit floors and stairs, Carrara marble sinks, river rock coatings along with contemporary mosaics, make this place a combination of simplicity and refinement, which makes the atmosphere unique.

Relaxation

At Il Giardino di Rebecca you can relax in nature, and much more. In fact, you can book excursions, massages and pancafit classes.

Our goal is to turn your stay into a magical moment. Each day will be something unique. If you like it, your awakening will be accompanied by a moment of relaxation for your mind and body. Then, for everybody, a five-star breakfast served by the pool from 8.00 to 10.30 and a refreshing dip in the swimming pool/whirlpool. Feeling relaxed and pampered on holiday will be an intense pleasure.

Il Giardino di Rebecca gives you the opportunity to treat yourself: fitness, personal trainer, massages, fit bench, yoga, outdoor swimming pool, walks in the nature parks to discover pristine beaches, trekking, mountain biking, golf, canoeing, horse riding, opportunity to book tennis and golf classes , visits to the best local small grocery shops with the chance to enjoy tasting tours (wine and oil), suggestions for day trips to the most beautiful Italian cities (Ravenna, Florence, Venice) or small villages (Brisighella, Castrocaro, Terra del Sole, Bertinoro, San Marino).

History

The name of this place comes from the name of its owner Rebecca, who turned a wheat field into a small oasis full of magic. Everything began about eighteen years ago when Rebecca built up her own world in this beautiful corner in the countryside near Castiglione di Ravenna.

Her first friend was a cockerel. A common cockerel like those that can be found in all chicken coops, but thanks to her love for animals, Rebecca tamed him and called him PioPio. They watched television together, especially cartoons, and PioPio loved to have his wattles scratched while lying on his back.

A little goat, Pigurin (just like Heidi’s goat), soon joined the little gang. The three of them became inseparable and lived new adventures every day.

But, as it happened to Heidi, at the age of nine Rebecca moved to a new city far away from everything and everyone. It was not easy for the little Heidi born in Romagna to adapt her wild soul to the strict rules of a Catholic boarding school in Switzerland.

But like in all fairy tales, there is a happy ending.

Rebecca has become a strong girl, determined and ready to face this new adventure. She decided to go back to her farm and turn it into her job.
